The Home Selling Process

1. Define what you want from the experience

Open up communication with your real estate agent to establish your expectations as you go through the process of selling your home.

2. Price your home

Your real estate expert will price your home based on a Comparative Marketing Analysis. There are a multitude of factors that your agent will take into consideration when pricing your home.

3. Prepare your property for buyers

Make necessary repairs around your house and keep your home in showing condition. There are also staging services that your agent will have access to that can potentially help sell your home quicker.

4. Receive an offer and negotiate to sell

Your real estate agent will receive a buyer’s offer and then present it to you in a discussion. You will then decide if you want to take the offer or work with your agent to negotiate with the interested party

5. Have your home inspected

Upon accepting an offer, you must have your home inspected and make the necessary changes laid out in the contract. If you do not complete this step you will not be able to close on your home.

6. Close on your home

Once you have made the necessary repairs and changes you will finalize paperwork and close on your home. Your agent should have everything you need to finish the sale of your home.
